Visual Projects
Here are some of our Visual projects, Including the Quilt trail, Mural trail, and the Art Gallery!

The Buzzardroost Rock Mural began the ACAC’s Mural Trail initiative in 2017. Ten more murals have been painted on buildings throughout the Adams County communities. These murals, painted by local artists, highlight Adams County’s historical events, local culture, and natural beauty.
In 2023 ACAC began their “Save the Quilt Barn Trail” project. The original movement began in 2001 with a single quilt square on Donna Sue Groves’ barn and has since expanded to over 20 quilt squares across the county and beyond! Each square represents a unique design and contributes to the cultural landscape, often referred to as the "clothesline of quilts". The Adams County Barn Quilt Trail is a vibrant art initiative that celebrates quilting and local heritage. This trail features colorful quilt squares painted on barns throughout Adams County, Ohio and was inspired by Donna Sue Groves, who wanted to honor her mother, Maxine Groves’ passion for quilting Travelers can enjoy scenic views while exploring the trail, which combines art with local history. The trail not only showcases artistic expression but also promotes community engagement and tourism in the region.
